Human beings created money, material wealth and machines through technology, innovation, research and human effort and ingenuity. Who are the masters now? we or them?
Man used his power and invented various easygoing gadgets to perform his work without putting any pressure on his shoulders. Invention of machines and gadgets has made his life so easy that at a very slow pace he started becoming dependent of machines for everything.

Dear Prof Rao, I may be considered blessed in having many examples to follow in this matter of considering the 3M (as you have called them) as things needed in this life only. They are temporal blessings, and not to be our masters. I was taught by my dad, and grandmother, and they were taught by other ancestors. When I was converted, I have more examples to emulate, including the apostle Paul, who considered earthly things as 'refuse or mammon'. Temporal things are to be made use of to serve temporal needs and our eternal destiny.
Those who are developing and creating technology, innovation, research and putting human efforts for creating money, material, machines never be the masters. Rather they are servants.
Masters! Who knows! Public/society/users decide ....!
The consistency in the thoughts and views running through all the responses is amazing. The master craftsman, master innovator, master mind gets mastered by his own creations, the 3 Ms!
Thank you for your participation and your valuable views.
If the 3M reach the poor / illiterate people across the country and the world then it might be considered as an achievement. But we have to review is all the research have reached the poor / illiterate people? Overall it all depends on money. Then too this three 3M are masters
I appreciate your noble ideals. Instead of wishing for somethng to happen let us do whatever we can in our own spheres to help the needy to make their lives a little better even if it is for a single day.
Mahatma Gandhi made the famous statement that ' there is enough in this world for every man's need , but not enough for man's greed ' . The 3 M's are essential & have made life comfortable for the elite & middle class , but very difficult for the lower middle class & poor in society . The problem is that apart from man's greed , it is considered that success in life is judged by acquiring more than what we need . In every country & society , conflicts arise because of this concept . The tremendous progress made by science to make life comfortable for every citizen is neutralized by this greed , which makes a few deny this to the rest . I agree with Rajeswara Rao that instead of waiting for something to happen , every person should do whatever they can to improve the lives of others .
I appreciate your valuable thoughts and the suggestion that science and technology are helping the poor and the needy. Need and greed have been personalised so much it is difficult to draw a line where need turns into greed. One upmanship, monopoly, insatiable hunger to control every one and every thing are taking superior position over humanity and good personality.
