Are we able to face microwave (rotational) spectroscopy in plasma as well as the gas?

Exerting a photon inside a gas, we are able to face a few categories like the symmetric or spheroidal tops based on the gas shape or inertia. Can we create or face the related symmetries for plasma as well as those for gases?
