We face huge medical, security, agricultural, and environmental problems likely to cause wars, hunger, and disease if not faced with our best science and logic.

Yet, in an increasing number of governments there is growing nationalism that uses emotional arguments including fears and resentment against immigrants that lack a factual basis. To keep these irrational messages from being undermined there is a strong accompanying movement away from facts, reason, and logic in making important decisions. This is then reducing thoughtful public engagement in political decisions.

It terms of food, environment, and disease - it is one world. No one can wall themselves off from these problems with nationalism. Without strong science, it becomes far more likely that poverty, hunger, reduced security, and disease can run wild throughout the world. What do you think and what should we do?
