There are some people against the recurrent use of the gene reductionism in the SS approach, even some others are trying to replace the SS theory by social selection (https://courses.marlboro.edu/pluginfile.php/44798/course/section/39224/965.pdf)
So I want to know what is the current theoretical state of the SS after papers like the previous one.
As a different question, I want to know if the SS could be reduced to the concept from population genetics "dis/assortative mating", what could be missed in this reductionist approach?
No scientific alernative will help in sexual selection, all those who or using either IVF or taking some thing else, will be rejected by the nature in long term. Neither de-assortive mating or artificial sexual selections are fit for natural populations, because these never derive overlapping and trait specific paternal genes. It is random mating which provide correct ness and corrections do make through sexual selection. It does,nt mean that two best vigor animals are selected to mate will give rise best individuals no, sexual selection is one part but environment, genetic variations and possible mutations with ethological isolation may provide next pure line from the diverging parental line. De-assortive matings are incorrect and non-evolutionary or retrogressive in nature.
1. Sexual selection is a form of social selection (see attached Lyon & Montgomery paper). That doesn't mean social selection is replacing sexual selection, it's just a more inclusive concept. Partner choice in non-sexual contexts also constitutes social selection
2. Roughgarden's game theory approach has been severely criticized (see attached Binmore paper)

As far as I know, sexual selection theory is what it has always been. Roughgarden's paper is not a new one (published over 8 years ago), and apparently has not been revolutionary (see the following reference for refutations of Roughgarden's theoretical model; Dall, S. R., McNamara, J. M., Wedell, N., Hosken, D. J., Lessells, C. M., Pizzari, T., ... & Rowe, L. (2006). Debating sexual selection and mating strategies. SCIENCE-NEW YORK THEN WASHINGTON-, 312(5774), 689.).
You can search "Sexual Selection Game Theory" to find more current papers on this topic.
Also remember that theoretical models are good for generating hypotheses, but all hypotheses eventually need to be tested.
As far as disassortative mating, I think you might be confusing sexual selection with evolution of sex
Many of the concepts within the umbrella of "social selection" have been around for a long time, just not formally organized into a single theoretical framework (e.g., siblicide, parent offspring conflict, sexual conflict, using weapons and ornamentation for intraspecific competition). Other concepts are more recent and intriguing, such as parental choice leading to exaggerated infantile traits and choice among cooperators.
