Since I am not a biochemist and cannot express my own protein mutant, I am searching for a commercially available protein with a single reactive site. I think a single cysteine mutant is the most logical choice, however I cannot find any vendors. Do vendors of such protein mutants exist? I don't care which protein, any protein will do.
If I remember correctly, bovine serum albumin has many disulfide bonds but only one surface-exposed Cys residue that is not in a disulfide bond. This protein is readily available commercially at a reasonable cost.

if the protein that you would like to mutate is simple to be produced, you can ask to produce the mutant to several companies as big CRO (eg Genescript or Bionintron) or small start-up (eg Giotto Biotech) that may clone the mutant and produce it for you for a reasonable costs.
OF course the clone design, choose the right position where insert the cysteine can be critical and you have to carefully choose it on the basis of your protein properties.

you may want to consider AVI-tagged recombinant proteins. Sevetal companies have them in their portfolio and maybe this works for you. The AVI-tag is enzymatically (i.e site directed) conjugated to biotin and thus allows for oriented capture onto Streptavidin surfaces.
