Hi Zhang, the membrane-impermeable IP3 can be directly microinjected into cells. You need proper microelectrodes with micromanipulator arms and a pressure injector. The skill and success rate will depend on the size of cells. Good luck: Karoly

Thanks for your reply, Liliom! The delivery by microinjection is probably better for the patch experiment while for live cell imaging experiment the efficiency of the method could be a problem I guess. But thanks for the reply!
