Implementation of new technologies Industry 4.0 to the processes of production of goods or offering services generates new categories of operational risk, new occupational hazards, new categories of unfavorable influence factors that may adversely affect the functioning of production processes, if certain adverse events occur, if certain risks emerge and materialize. if there are accidents of employees at work. Therefore, in the situation of implementing new Industry 4.0 technologies into the processes of producing goods or offering services, it is necessary to update risk management systems, early warning systems about rising levels of operational risks, contingency plans, regulations and rules of conduct developed for individual workplaces and taking into account health and safety rules. However, what may be the scale of the potential negative impact of the materialization of operational risk in the event of an accident at work caused, inter alia, by e.g. improper operation of new machines and devices equipped with technological innovations and new technical solutions developed through the implementation of new Industry 4.0 technologies, it depends on what kind of Industry 4.0 technologies were used in manufacturing processes. Whether they are artificial intelligence technologies, Internet of Things, machine learning, multi-criteria simulation models, Blockchain, cloud computing, augmented and virtual reality, Big Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, additive manufacturing, smart technologies, autonomous robots, horizontal and vertical data system integration, cybersecurity systems, multi-criteria Data Mining, there are other categories of operational risk and a different scale of negative effects on production processes or the use of specific machines and devices equipped with Industry 4.0 technologies. In addition, depending on whether the production processes relate to production carried out on the production hall or offering services by a service establishment, the potential negative effects of specific accidents at work may be associated with a different level of negative effects for employees and for the company. Depending on whether the production processes relate to production carried out by automated and remotely managed production processes, carried out by robots or employed people, the scale of negative effects of materializing operational risk may be very diverse.

Please see my paper below. Implementing Industry 4.0 Digital Lean Manufacturing Training was beneficial during the pandemic because it reduced the need to do training in the classroom. It allowed anyone to access training anywhere work or home with no need to get together and potentially spread the virus.

However, the disadvantages are its removed the need for classroom based training where you can get together and discuss the training with peers and a trainer. Asking questions and discussing the course material.

We realise that so we are re-introducing the training and using the digital training as support for the classroom based training.

Just to follow up on that. If we only went with the digital training is there a need for a trainer? In this example the answer was no but if the digital training did manage to provide an option equal to classroom based training it would potentially remove the need for a trainer. Albeit, potentially create a role for someone to develop and maintain the digital training. Just food for thought.
