Do they play any specific role in Nature?
- Pairs of intricate photons are emitted by calcium lamps, one green one violet.
Polarization of calcium atomic fluorescence due to a coherence effect in the photo-dissociation of Ca-2 molécules, Vigue J., Grangier P., Roger G., and Aspect A. Comptes rendus de l’académie des sciences, série II, 293, 805-808 (1981)
- Pairs of entangled photons are produced in non-linear parametric down-conversion.
Quadratic Coherence in Parametric Emission. R Raj, I Abram, J L Oudar and G Dolique. Physica Scripta. Vol. T23, 21 1-213, 1988.
So the question fully goes as follows:
- Are there recognized entangled matter particles. For instance, Is there evidence that the electron and the anti-neutrino are entangled particles in the electronic beta disintegration? Or are there only massless entangled particles?
- Does entanglement have any known consequence at a macroscopic scale.
