A conversation came up amongst my colleagues today about how some people develop a resistance or immunity to certain venoms (i.e. jellyfish stings, bee stings, etc) after repeated exposure while others experience a heightened reaction and higher sensitivity. I am wondering if anyone has literature specifically pertaining to human reactions to venom and how reactions to repeated exposures can be so diverse?

Thanks!
