We seek recommendations for methodology but not with commercial detectors of the ambient air sort. Any real use recommendations ? GC methods could be one approach if I build it in the project.

Some things Ive found:

ASTM Methods for Measurement of H2S are largely geared for the petroleum industry in the list from Moore and Spitler.

Standard Test Method for Hydrogen Sulfide in Liquefied Petroleum (LP) Gases (Lead Acetate Method)

Standard Test Method for Analysis of Hydrogen Sulfide in Gaseous Fuels (Lead Acetate Reaction Rate Method)

Standard Test Method for Hydrogen Sulfide in the Atmosphere by Rate of Change of Reflectance

Standard Practice for Determining Concentration of Hydrogen Sulfide by Direct Reading Length of Stain, Visual Chemical Detectors

Standard Test Method for Qualitative Analysis for Active Sulfur Species in Fuels and Solvents (Doctor Test)

Standard Test Method for Determination of Sulfur Compounds in Natural Gas and Gaseous Fuels by Gas Chromatography and Chemiluminescence

Standard Test Method for Determination of Sulfur Compounds in Natural Gas and Gaseous Fuels by Gas Chromatography and Flame Photometric Detection
