Aicha - there may well be - but not that I know of. However, we do know that there is a very strong, positive correlation between Impact Factor and overall impact.
This can certainly happen (I know of one example), but because impact factors are based directly on the number of citations, a low impact factor inherently means that previous articles from that journal have seldom been cited.
It is not a general phenomenon .Because a low IF journal does not mean an inferior quality journal . Acceptance or Rejection of a manuscript soulely depends on quality of REVEIWEING process.
