Hi,

Does anyone possess targeted single gene mutants of Rhizobium. We are after a particular mutant and I can't seem to find any facility that sells or donates targeted mutants. 

Also, failing which, if we do isolate Rhizobia from root nodules, what is the easiest way for a scarcely-resourced lab in Sri Lanka, to make random mutations ?..........Would UV light do, and if so, what duration of exposure is recommended ?.........If you do have any research articles to share, they would be very welcomed too.....

Please do share your ideas on acquiring targeted or random mutants of Rhizobia with minimum costs involved ........
