Molluscan hemocyanin is usually encoded by 2 different genes: Hc1 and Hc2 with low similarity and the expression of Hc1 is much higher than Hc2 in normal conditions. I therefore think that the structure of Hc under EM which we usually see is the Hc1 isoform. However, I haven't read any papers talking about Hc2's structures and functions. Is there any differences between the two isoforms?
