It is known that certain Blood Group types possess by an individual can predisposes such a person to certain diseases or disorders and in most cases can also aggravate the severity of the disease. We will love to know if there are any association of Blood Group Types with Covid-19 (Corona virus).
We love to know if there are findings in literature that explain or state which type of blood group system or type that are more susceptible to Covid-19 infection and those not susceptible and possibly the reasons underlying them.
The published works so far provide insufficient data to give you a definite answer as to why and how blood types may have an effect on the susceptibility of an individual to a covid-19 infection
Although the information is spread about O group persons are less vulnerable to the virus but the data insufficient to affirm this statement yet.
There could be high suceptibility of some blood groups over others but has not been proved.
In general, there is a literature that attributes to group 0 a greater resistance to many diseases. In this case I think that a large sample of individuals is needed to demonstrate the relationships between the blood group of people and the symptoms and laboratory and instrumental data of patients with minimal and high symptoms. Only with large numbers can these aspects be evaluated.
