I have seen different ways to calculate P and N uptake rate and I don't know if there is a "standard formula" for this calculation.
as i know, n and p uptake rate is actually varies depend on the environmental factors (pH, temperature), external source of nutrients and also the cultivation mode (Batch, semi-continuous, continuous). thats why we have different way of calculation which is totally depend on the objective of the study/experiment. for more information you can refer the attached paper. as i know, these calculations were this calculation derived from the basic formula which is:-
nutrient uptake rate (μ) = (ln N2 - ln N1)/(t2-t1)
Where:
ln = natural logarithm
t1 = time one (in days/hours)
t2 = time two (in days/hours)
N1 = Nutrient concentration in the medium at time one
N2 = Nutrient concentration in the medium at time two.
