yes, in some city of my country, shortage of clean water cause migration so mega-police city decline to smaller one.
Yes, in some cities in my country particularly having industrial growth have anthropogenic contamination of metals and other chemical parameters leading to shortage of potable water. Additionally geogenic contamination of fluoride, arsenic and iron have also created a problem for availability of safe drinking water.
Certainly, this problem exists in my country, which is the problem of most countries of the world, I believe, but most of the aspects of this problem have been overcome at present and we are advanced in finding the appropriate solutions.
The above question inspired me to the following considerations:
Clean water is essential first of all for human life and for the functioning of biological ecosystems.
Then there is clean water necessary for agricultural production and many industries. Because the resources of clean water are shrinking in many places around the world, it will be necessary to improve the technology of cleaning contaminated water in rivers, lakes, etc.
The issue of water treatment is one of the most important factors of sustainable pro-ecological development based on the concept of a new, green economy.

There is certainly a problem and a major problem, which is the lack of water resources and the low quality of water due to high salinity in natural water sources due to the low quantities of rain falling annually ,the continued rise in atmosphere temperature and the dumping of sewage in the rivers.

The water table is declining in India
Especially in Trans-Gangetic plain regions (Haryana and Punjab specifically), due to the intensive agricultural practices, as
Rice/Paddy-Wheat is the major Crop rotation of this Agroclimatic-Zone.
Although, rice crop was not native of this region, but due to fertile and nutrient rich alluvial soil of this region, it was adopted to grow rice and wheat, as to buffer the food stocks and ensures the food security back in 1960's in the country.
So, post "green revolution" times till now, the farmers of this region are practicing the same crop rotation due to assured irrigation facilities, and even government have failed to help them diversify this crop rotation.
For producing 1 Kilogram of rice, Roughly 4000 liters of water is require.
Due to which the water table level has declined to a significant levels than before.
So there is need for diversification of agricultural practices in these regions.
Also, these regions are hub of industries, which also require water
and the effluents are discharged into water bodies polluting them.
Although, there are various products in market these days, which are not much popular, but effective like

No doubt, the problems related to lack of sufficient clean water in my country have been multi-various creating hygienic , economic, and ethnic issues that are very difficult to control. The most basic blessings in life are clean air, clean water, and sympathetic governments. Man's illogical intervention in nature is taking such blessings away from us. Therefore, the fight against ignorance and preservation of nature and safe ecosystems should be perpetual.
Canada has no shortage of water (thanks to the last Ice Age), however, clean water is getting scarce due to pollution problems from various sources.
For example, half of my city gets the drinking water through lead pipes, therefore, some people are getting poisoned by Pb slowly. There is an outcry, but the problem is who is going to pay for changing the water pipes, it would be a very costly undertaking.

It is Clear that due to Global Warming and increase in Population the Fresh Drinking water would be soon Disappear. It is our duty to save clean water and do not waste it. Yes there is shortage of Fresh drinking water . Regards
Yes, in Serbia there are many problems regarding the sources of clean water that can be used for various purposes (drinking, irrigation..).
Most problems come from the pollution (antropogenic factor) and in some parts of the country the natural pollution with some toxic elements is more pronounced.

How should you improve the economical sustainable environmentally friendly clean water economy?
By 2040, a deficit of clear water will appear in most countries in the world.
