Incoloy A-286 is an austenitic precipitation hardening stainless steel. this alloy is very susceptible to hot cracking in the fusion zone and HAZ. i will appreciate the comments on the how to prevent the liquation cracking in the HAZ. i tried low heat input process such as laser beam welding but the liquation cracks still exist.

Try to avoid high restraint and use them in solution annealed condition, low heat input and close monitoring, no more than 150°C interpass temperature an no prehearing are essential too!
