I am not aware of any reasonable Prx inhibitor and, for sure, there is not any inhibitor available that couild discriminate between the six mammalian Prxs.I guess you have to rely on inverse genetics..
Conoidin A is a good PRDX inhibitor. It binds to the peroxidatic cysteine of 2Cys PRDXs in an irreversible manner. Unfortunately, I cannot comment on the specificity. In my experience a dose of 25uM for 2 hours is sufficient to significantly block sulfinylation of the peroxidatic cysteine.
