Are there any enzymes in plants that are activated only in dark apart from those of Crassulacean acid metabolism?

I wish to find out if C3 plant growth will be adversely affected under continuous light conditions.

Thank you. Portulaca oleracea is a C4 plant which shifts to CAM photosynthesis under drought conditions, and sometimes also at night to fix CO2 generated through respiration. My question is will C3 plants be affected if exposed to continuous light conditions. I have exposed Prosopis plants to continuous light to study leaf movements, and in 3 days, leaves began to turn yellow (chlorophyll degradation?). What could be the reason?
