We've been using the Ki67 antibody from Vector laboratories to mark proliferative cells in the developing brain. This antibody is no longer in production and we are struggling to find a replacement that works as beautifully as Vector's Ki67.
Any information/recommendation would be greatly appreciated.

We use ki-67 from thermo fisher in mouse spinal cord, it works well. It is likely to work for the brain as well.

Abcam also has some good antibodies for mouse brain that I have used before. The cat number is ab15580 (1:3000), if I rember it right.
In human neuronal progenitors/differentiating neurons, we have also used an Abcam antibody that works really nicely, and it should also work in mouse:

We've used both abcam (ab16667) rabbit antibody and eBiosciences (14-5698-80) rat antibody in the mouse brain (adult and embryonic). The abcam antibody is quite a bit nicer but both work well!
