I am conducting a systematic review whereby my articles are predominately single cohort (one group) and of observational nature. Non-randomised too.
Are there any critical appraisal tools which exist for this purpose? The cohort tools I look at are mostly for when studies involve two groups, not a single group being observed for the presence of a condition.

Thank you Farhad. I will take a look at the Robins tool. I note its used for interventional studies? I wonder whether a modified version exists as all my studies are of an observational nature. There are many critical analytical tools for various studies. I kindly refer to you to the links below. What you have to do is to select the one that is suitable to your studies as well as your settings while ensuring that you keep your confounding factors under control.
