Mostly, yes. Like any vendor, check what you have (HPLC, TLC, etc). They may specify a purity level, see if that purity is useful to you. It's common to be 95, 97, 98, or whatever % pure.
For assuring quality of the chemicals different spectroscopy techniques are used ( HPLC, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, IR). You can also mentioned in your PO (purchase order) the purity ( for ex. mention min. HPLC 98%) HPLC method you can ask.
One can ask COA ( certificate of analysis).
Once you receive sample you can also confirm the purity by supplied method of manufactures. By this way you can confirm the purity of samples.

Reena Dado We do, sometimes. Please note that Sigma Aldrich doesn't make all of their compounds, and they source from all over the world including China- see the attached picture. They might be buying the material from the same place as you are considering.

Quality of chemicals from Chinese companies okay but you have to test purity by spectroscopic data. IR, PME, CMR ,Mass, LSMS etc.
