I am working on DMVPN with EIGRP as the routing protocole.. I was wondering in if in DMVPN the EIGRP packet are encapsulated with IPsec between relay nodes or not? (Router R7 and R6 or R5 in the figure ) or the IPsec security association is negotiated only between the hub and the spokes routers?

I must tell you that the routers R5,R6 and R7 are in the ISP area, so it can be MPLS or Ethernet links, however, EIGRP is a protocole for interior gateway routing, is it really possible? in real scénarios or Lab experiments ?

EIGRP is encapsulated within mGRE, as IPsec accept only unicast encapsulation. ISP nodes will not receive any EIGRP updates. Core nodes must run OSPF process, and default static route can be configured on HUB/SPOKE routers.
