In view of existing literature, see e.g. references below, it appears rather strange that phenomena of this kind have not been addressed in recent LIGO publications. It is merely stated in LIGO Magazine, see reference below, last paragraph on page 24: „There are families of glitches that we frequently see but have not yet discovered the cause of.“

Shouldn't local phenomena be reliably excluded as signal sources before claiming discovery of distant black hole mergers and gravitational waves?
