when you have a subsidised energy price few will think of renewables., Unless the are subsidies for the renewable energies as well.

The only significant change in the scenario specific to India seems to be a very obvious inclination towards PV and solar thermal. It still needs to gather momentum, but a very observable change is very much here.

This is over and above our already existing move to integrate wind/small-hydro/biogas which are already established in this country.

The application of  PV or solar cell  systems depends on the economic state and the extent of the needing to apply this technology. So the energy market reforms should make many conferences and advertising meeting to introduce a low price PV or solar cell systems. People need to get goods the able to buy. Ex.Countries like Canada, Germany,...etc such this counties have many solar stations but  Somalia Chad. etc can't apply or construct  PV or solar cell systems because of prices and its economic states. If PV or solar cell systems have low prices so it will be available for all customers or consumers. The present time requires conferences, meeting and seminars to advertise and produce low price PV or solar cell systems.

Your question can be analyzed from the changes in the three countries' policies: 1) here in Brazil, which has struggled to invest in the exploitation of oil reserves, with higher prices, but without avail renewables; 2) the United States, which continue to depend on fossil fuels without the medium term, but with strong innovation policies in biomass and wind energy; 3) and Germany, which despite facing strong Chinese competition in the capital goods for renewables has been restructuring its energy matrix through taxation policies, innovation and market reserve for renewables. I think that in all these countries, energy prices will continue in the medium term, depending on the policies of subsidies on production and consumption and costing of operations for increased competition. In Brazil there is greater possibility of competitiveness of renewable sources due to country rich in land, sun, wind, biomass and water. Perhaps the conditions of these three countries can direct comparative studies for others.

Ya! I agree with possibility of renewable penetration to be increased in electricity market reforms in green revolutionary era with so many research & developments emerging!

Recent energy market reforms in India are encouraging renewable energy possibilities. this is because of the fact that government of India is taking number of steps like 10 years tax-exemption for the solar power projects. the ministry of power has planned to provide electricity to 18500 villages in 3 years. Out of these 3500 villages would receive electricity through off-grid or renewable energy solutions. The government of India has announced a massive production of renewable power production of 175000 MW by the year 2020. Also the government of India has approved 15000 MW grid-connected solar power project of NTPC. 

So recent energy market reforms are encouraging renewable energy possibilities.

I have already submitted my reply. My reply is as per Indian conditions. But this is a global problem & renewable energy is the only solution because non-renewable energy will come to end one day.
