Language users of some social communities can express their limited needs by a language which can meet all the needs they have. Yet, their language is termed( primitive). It may be called primitive because it doesn't have a writing system. To me, since the language can express all the needs of the social community, it is unfair to call it primitive.
Normally the language of an ethnic group or a nation is adequat of their level of social and economical develolpment. Language has also to do with traditions which were generated in dependence of environmental factors, landscape, climate, conditions of living for humans.
The term "primitive" often causes misunderstandings in educational science and the social sciences. 130 years ago, in the early days of ethnology, "primitive peoples" were spoken of in order to distinguish them from the Western civilized peoples, not as rupture, but of an concept of organic growth . The cultural growth of peoples was understood biologically. The view is long outdated in modern ethnology, but in the use of the term "primitive" it has been preserved.
