Phytochemical analysis of plant extract, tannin proportion

do you mean the phlorotannins from Algae? They were not taken into account when the polyphenols were classified, and given howdifficult they are to cleave, they'll probably resemble "condensed tannins" more. But in the chemical definition of condensed tannins their monomer units are flavanols. Not phloroglucinol or resorcinol.

Hydrolyzable tannins are gllic or ellagic esters.
