So in my Project I am working on Compounds that have chelator characteristics, as they bind different transition metals, with different stoichiomoetries. I wanted to determine the binding affinities, so I did a titration experiment . In my setup I used the Cu(II) chelator 4-(2-Pirydilazo)resorcinol, which forms a 1:1 complex, with a dissociation constant of 2.6*10^-15 M. For the compound of interest, which forms a 2:1 (Ligand:Cu(II)) complex with Cu(II) I calculated a dissociation constant of 8.74*10^-13 M². My question now is, if these two values are comparable, as their units M and M² differ.
Thank you in advance.
