Sincerely, I cannot agree less with the answered offered so far but wish to redirect your focus to the fact that the virus strains may have been decided by the plant phytometabolome status and preference for feeding may likewise be linked more to metabolic content-aphid signaling rather than viral presence. The issue in question might be more complicated and may require more than aphid-virus interactive plasticity to determine feeding preference, fecundity of the virus and it transmission.
