Article Balancing of assembly lines with collaborative robots
Human-robot teams are already well established and functional in multiple industries. Most assembly lines (ex. automobile assembly) involves robot-human teams in completing certain operations. Even warehouse operations (Amazon is the best example but it is also true for companies like Target/Walmart etc) are completed by human-robot teams.
We will see more human-robot teams and approaches emerging and beiing deployed in industry in light of ageing societies worldwide. On 1st of January we will start a multi-partner cooperation project on new solutions for wokpaces in manufacturing tailorde to an ageing workforce. I expect human-robot approaches to be a key element in the solutions.
