For weeks now I have had very high reading rates for a rather obscure paper on Article Sus scrofa subspecies of Iran

. This paper has now been "read" 3,500 times and has been my most-read paper for weeks. Similarly, while ago, another obscure paper on

Article The Bornean tiger; speculation on its existence

was read over 4,000 times. Neither paper has been meaningfully cited. Are these genuine reads and if so how can I know who is reading this. Or are there bots or internet search-related tools involved that make it appear that these papers are read? Don't get me wrong, these are ok papers, but hardly the stuff thousands of people would have an interest in.
