Since 10-20 years there is a significant expansion of Senecio aquaticus (=Jacobaea  aquaticus ) and Senecio jacobaea on lesser cultivated grassland in Austria, Swiss and Germany to observe.

Could have Arbuscular mycorrhizae (AM) an importance for Senecio species expansion, or more given up fertilization or careless pasture cleaning of weeds?

Best regards. J HUMER, Austria
