I would like to purify my MBP-tagged protein by ammonium sulfate precipitation followed by an amylose bead column. I could perform a dialysis step in the middle, but if the binding to amylose beads is not affected by ammonium sulfate in the solution I would like to avoid this step. I will be performing enough wash steps that the residual ammonium sulfate will be removed prior to elution from the column. Has anyone tried this? I have not been able to find a reagent compatibility chart for amylose beads.
