I am currently trying to perform a statistical analysis of my in vivo bone formation data. I have four different candidates which were tested for different time points (8, 10, and 12 weeks). Each time I have 2 data points for each candidate except for 10 weeks (please see the attached excel sheet for a sample data table). I want to identify the best candidates providing the reasonable higher bone volume density and so on. May I get the expert opinions regarding the best suitable statistical tests that can give statistical significance with meaningful interpretation?
It seems simple as the Bi group has the highest bone density, specifically on weeks 8 and 12. The mean was also higher for the Bi group comparatively. Try ANOVA in such a data set if you need further stat significance. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) Definition & Formula (investopedia.com)

With regards to Chandras’ answer, I would like to add that you need to use a two-parametric (2-way) ANOVA, because you have two different parameters (potential candidates and time points). However, you might also analyze the effects of the candidates for each time point separately, depending on your research question. To achieve significant results, you usually need at least 3 data points, which is still considered as a “exemplary” data set. Depending on your standard deviation you might need 5 or more donors to draw meaningful conclusions.
