I find in many conferences and meetings hordes of redundant research that little adds to the current knowledge and practices. Just like chewing the same thing over and over "chewing" over and over. Also, lack of creativity and excessive-focus on details instead of the big things that could impact everything and everyone.
I think that the separation of science, arts and philosophy is not beneficial and perhaps researchers should have additional training in arts and philosophy so that to help creativity and direction of efforts.
