We want to study the effect of plant disease on the root microbiome. I'm looking for an easy pathosystem so it should not be Ralstonia solanacearum (quarantine organism)
You should try Pseudomonas syringae pv tomato DC300. But that will show symptoms on the leaves. Since Ps is a model organism to study plant-microbe interaction, would be relevant. Do not know whether can infect the roots of plantlets of Arabidopsis.
In studies on roots, I have seen some people use Agrobacterium rhizogenes. It induces over proliferation of roots, but no sure either if it infects Arabidopsis.
