As it was said by Mr. Saim ofcourse it depends on heat-flow characteristics. plus monte carlo method/simulation gives a probability solution of exact heat flow though media depending on media characteristics of absorption, transmission and reflective.

it can be precise from 33.3% to 99.999 % accurate.

it give a mathematical model to simulate as well to applied in practice.
