Have anybody experienced with real time grayscale image histogram with opencv? I have used it for stereo vision project to make equal two gray images intensities. Is there a better way to make equal intensities of two identical images taken from two cameras for stereo vision computation.
You can try the statement "Mat::setTo". The following is taken from the OpenCV 2.4.8 reference manual, page 31:

C++: Mat& Mat::setTo(InputArray value, InputArray mask=noArray() )
Parameters
value – Assigned scalar converted to the actual array type.

Mat::operator=(const Scalar& s) operator.

You can use it to set both images to the same scalar values.

Why you don't just use equalizeHist and calcHist?
Why, in the first place, the images of a stereo couple are so different?
Histogram computation is very very fast, you shouldn't have trouble using it in real-time applications.
Thank you @Michele what i need is to equal the intensity of right image according to left image intensity and from histogram equalization it does equally spread the intensities of each image, as I know in opencv, furthermore sometimes the intensities will get different due to the various light sources and the other thing I'm using a Raspberry-Pi board which has a ARM-7 not a pc

probably I didn't get you question. What you want to do exactly?
You have left and right gray images, they are just taken from slightly different point of views. So they should be basically very similar, also in intensity. If you have a light source, it should affect both your images.
Also, what do you mean exactly with "equal the intensity of the right image according to the left image"?
