I tried to dissolve a synthetic peptide carrying positive charge with DMSO, PBS, 1% formic acid and NH4H2O, all didn't work. What else solvents can I use or what other methods I can take to dissolve it? Since it is for vaccine use, the solvent can not be toxic to cell culture or humans.
ps: when I dissolve it in small amount of DMSO, the solution becomes cloudy and the peptides tend to aggregate after a while.

what I do with hydrophobic peptides is either add a little amount of DMSO and then top it up with H2O or buffer, so it's 10% in DMSO at the end, or I add acetonitrile first and then H2O (usually the one from the HPLC, so mQ H2O 0.1% in TFA), in a 1:1 ratio.
