This is Ganoderma lucidum, basically it is a polypore fungi, , host tree- Quercus semicarpifolia (from Uttarkashi, India) causing root rot , having numerous medicinal properties, also called Rishi Mushroom
Ganoderma is a genus of polypore mushrooms that grow on wood, and include about 80 species, many from tropical regions. I am working on wood decay fungi.. sometime species is same but host are different then may be a chance of variation in color, shape and size
Dear Barkat, the upper/front picture of the shelf fungi (polypore) Ganoderma you have will be needed for proper identification.
There are other similar Ganoderma species such as Ganoderma applanatum, Ganoderma sessile, Ganoderma curtisii, and Ganoderma tsugae.
Check this link to confirm which of these Ganoderma you have.

I also think Ganoderma lucidum.
James Jacobs and Robert Blanchette are looking for Ganoderma samples for their studies. I sent a few specimens. I expect they might want a few more samples and they are using DNA to ID.
