Related concern about open access publishing in general - does it not bias 'richer' academics and institutions over the 'poor' ones who cannot afford to pay fees?
Tow questions:
1. Are there any legal channels that would prohibit predatory journals?
2. Any ideas/experiences with aaddressing 'rich' vs. 'poor' bias in open access publishing?
Another issue with open access in general - is it not the case that 'rich' scholars and institutions will get more published than poor ones, independent of quality of their research?
Isn't it true that "rich" institutions inevitably are more advantaged in all respects? Better students, more funding, more resources of all kinds....
While the original Beall's list web site (scholarly-oa.com) does not host the list anymore anyway, I have recently found a web site
