Hello, I am looking for a free image processing/analysis software that can analyze images captured during a crystallization process. I want to be able to measure the sizes (mean) of the crystals/particles during the crystallization process (from nucleation to aggregation). I already have the images captured using iC PVM Mettler toledo V19 microscope.
I tried using ImageJ, but I wasn't getting good results as it shows the sizes were decreasing. Usually, the sizes at nucleation should not be the same after some hours of reaction/aggregation. Clearly, the sizes of the crystals increase in size after some time of aggregation reactions. Any other suggestions on software or even better ways to use ImageJ software to measure micrometer-scale sizes of crystals are welcome.

Dear Amir Reza Ansari Dezfoli I have already tried using ImageJ but was getting presumably inconsistent results. I am still working on other methods to improve image analysis using ImageJ.

I thought Matlab has an excellent image processing function, have you tried it?
Edward Dintwa , I haven't heard of Matlab being used as an image processor and analysis. Anyway, I had to use imagej. Thanks for the response
