I will recommend to consider video analytic where you can work on activity recognition in videos, abnormal scenes recognition, etc. These areas can be claimed for security purposes.
There is a lot of research being conducted in almost all fields of AI like these different topics. Such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Hadoop and Internet of Things. I advised to explore the factors that influence the Internet of Things. That's more advanced and recent one.
Since you work with super-resolution, you could try ML or Deep learning applied to it. 3D super-resolution is extremely interesting.
Artificial intelligence, which makes its own codes better and eventually gets out of control, has always been the focus of attention of humanity.
Electronics is not my area of expertise.
So can an AI help design more efficient electronic circuits?
