these are the SEM images of pure ceramics printed by selective laser melting and sintering.

In cooling the ceramic will contract. It looks like there was incomplete melting and possibly some shrinkage pulling particles away. It might be that the laser passes need to be slightly closer together. I might also look for a flaw in the uniformity of the powder layer or uniformity in the composition of the powder layer. Cool picture.
