It is difficult to determine a parasitic species from photos. Appropriate drawings should be made.

Ton could be right. There are definitely hooks and Acanthocephalans do affect pelagic fish :-)

It is indeed an acanthocephalan. I would like to know its genus. If any Key for the identification of Acanthocephalans of Labeo/carps is available, it might help
