Hello :)

I am writing to ask for advice regarding Yeast RNA. I recently purchased a yeast RNA extract in powder form and am having many issues getting it into solution for down-stream applications.

I have tried everything in my power to try and get it into solution including contacting the manufacturer however their instructions have not helped. I have placed in rnase-free water, tried media as well, i've heated it (both 30C and 52C for varying lengths of time), and also conducted a titration of yeast:water to see if there is an optimum ratio to dissolve the yeast... nothing. I am considering trying RNA precipitation from this extract as well.. The manufacturer recomends the following: This mixture of total yeast RNA is resuspended with sterile, DEPC-treated double-distilled water or TE buffer to 10 mg/ml if used as carrier.

Any words of advice would be much appreciated :) I have worked with human RNA is the past however never a lyophilized powder from a manufacturer.
