I am currently looking to quantify biogenic amines using ELISA (either direct or indirect method) in fish and other seafood samples, and I am doing a search on the possible antibodies that I could use, and I would like to ask if you have any good references of antibodies/brands that you recommend and that you have tested and workied fine? This is the list of amines that I am studying (I have now ordered antibodies for 4 of these, but I would still like to hear your suggestions):
- Histamine
- Cadaverine
- Tyramine
- 2-Phenetylamine
- Tryptamine
- Spermidine
- Trimethylamine hcl
- Dimethylamine
- Putrescine

You can filter for ELISA Application, and follow "more info" to suppliers' data pages. Hope this is useful.

This is the list of possible antibodies that I found suitable for biogenic amines doing a search online (from both european and american companies). Obviously there are much more, but I made a selection that would include considerable diversity based on the criteria of the first row of the table (e.g. reactivity, clonality, host species, conjugated vs unconjugated etc) so that we have an idea of what there is available on the market and the price-range.
