I have been advised to always try to send my papers to the best journals; If they do not publish it, at least I'll have a good review to improve it. But the attempt and the rejection are very, very frustrating. My articles are good (I think so!), they bring interesting knowledge, but they do not change paradigms (in Kuhnian terms) and I'm not a top researcher. I do not want to be either; I simply enjoy researching and learning. Should I give up trying to publish in Q1-Q2 journals?
