I was wondering is there any material (elementary or composite) which has electric field-dependent anisotropic conductivity properties.Say for instance, the conductivity of the material in one direction (x-direction) changes with the electric field on the other direction (y-direction).

The best materials with field depended anisotropy are liquid crystals. Another question is what type of conductivity you need. LC usually have ionic conductivity. The mobility of ions depends on the orientation of LC molecules axis. And the position of the axes depends on the magnitude of the external field.

I was wondering about electrical conductivity of the material and would prefer it to be around on a scale of 2500 S/m. It has to be field-dependent in one direction, which means the conductivity in one direction changes with the E-field, whereas the other tensor quantities remain the same.
I don't have any idea about LC though, I think, I have to look for it. Please kindly, let me know if you have anymore suggestion about material in your list which fits my requirements.
