I came across the field of animal husbandry and mechanisation I.e use of technology for comfort of animals… plz suggest what can be done and what are the problems we face in animal husbandry practices and probable solutions. I found this is a topic worthy discussing. Keep posting on the previous work done on this aspect as well.

As much as humans try to mechanize animal husbandry, I think it's very difficult to strike a balance between the two. Usually, mechanization developments are based on what is beneficial to humans more than what the animal is benefiting. The focus is more on profit than the welfare of the animal. I think any form of mechanization to be emerged with animal husbandry should also consider the natural conditions needed by animals and provide minimal disturbance to their natural environment.

The brushes for grooming, environmentally controlled house, even milking Mechine’s are invented to enhance the animal comfort and there are many small alterations can enhance the animal confort and mechanisation can help in this regards. Taking a lousy processing unit, thorough inputs are haughty recommended for better product quality, and higher recovery.
Sir even application of robotics, sensors to monitor farm animal performances are also gaining importance so I personally feel all should ponder on this to make the best use of the knowledge and skills for the betterment of animals and thus society

I have more experience with wildlife than domesticated animals. I have realized that for example, inserting trackers and associated technology induce a lot of stress on animals and in worst cases lead to death. I can't rule out the use of technology though, but my point is that whatever technology to be implemented there is need to consider the welfare of the animal.
Absolutely sir. This is a nice piont. insects cause a lot of nuisance in domestic animals as well.
Mechanisation such as that used in the dairy industry that provides cattle with some element of choice (when to present for milking) is useful. However, it has been suggested that increasing incidents with injuries caused by cattle, some fatal, are partly due to less human handling making cattle less habituated to people and thus potentially more dangerous.

Mechanization has undoubtedly improved productivity with increased efficiency, also with better management practices has improved animal welfare, however mechanization comes with an initial investment cost for the farmer, the need for skilled personnel, Moreover, the loss of the original farming practices and a strained relationship between the farmers and their animals.
